I would have covered the brake discs before starting to clean the wheel arches - but then again, that's just me.

For those interested, after using the heat gun on the plastic trims, apply some GTechniq C4 trim restorer. It reacts at a molecular level to provide up to 2 years of further protection from degrading the plastics. It works an absolute treat.

I've just done a Punto for a farmer, all the plastic was filthy with mud, the carpets crusty, seats stank of dog but the paintwork came up nice, an attractive light cherry red that suits the lines of the car. Couldn't get the plastics and carpets perfect but they're a lot better and the wet vac brought the seats up pretty nice.

Totally enjoyed watching this episode lovely job. Real car and real car cleaner ace .😊

Seems all red early 2000nds Vauxhalls do this fading. My dad had a MK3 Astra which was almost pink, and my mum had a Corsa C which wasn't as bad but was this same colour.

Is everyone else normal or does anyone feel really bad for these poor old neglected cars? 😂 like I imagine it’s like how an old rescue dog feels when it finally gets a home.. 😂😂 must feel so good when it’s covered in warm soapy suds. And when the wheels were off, it was like the car was taking off stinky old shoes and getting a much deserved pedicure 🥴😆

My Tdi Eos died today at 144k miles . I have owned her for 12 years and she has bedn serviced at the prooer intervals and used the correct oil and filters etc but she decided to drop an exhaust valve today, so sadly she has to go to the scrapyard .....booo hooo😢
